What is GI Pipe?
Galvanized iron (GI) tubes are manufactured from mild steel strips of low carbon steel coils. The strips are fed through a series of fin rollers and form a circle. The slit ends of the strip are then welded by continuously passing a high frequency current through the edges. GI pipes or galvanized iron pipes are widely used to transport raw water and distribute treated water in many local water supply systems where water demand is limited.
